Introduction I was born in Fall River, Massachusetts in a Jewish family and was brought up to be a Jew, receiving my Bar Mitzvah. Nevertheless, my first passion was science, which led me to major in Biology and gave me a bias toward agnosticism. After graduating from a local college, I went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While there, I began doing meditation and became a very zealous Zen Buddhist. After completing a Master's degree, I moved to Rochester, New York to realize my spiritual goals as a Zen Buddhist more fully. After ten years in that tradition, in the light of a failed relationship with a woman, I sought a new path and was led to the Roman Catholic Church, the greatest and most wonderful gift of my life. So, two years after entering the Church, I began my formation process with the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts, taking my first vows in 1988, my final vows in 1991, and becoming ordained as a priest in 1995. Halleluia! I have served as a parish priest in both New Bedford, MA., as well in Artesia, NM. In 2007, I became the vocation director for the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
