Introduction Consumed with nurturing my 3 sons and making a haven for them and EJC, the love of my life. Nurse by profession, but wish I was a chef! The 4 men in my life are always hungry! My part time employment is at a local wellness center and now most recently accepted full time employment welcoming new souls into this world.
Interests I love thrifting, home decor, gardening and cooking. I seek to marry delicious and nutritious! Born in Seattle, WA....I have lived in Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Honduras and Alabama. My love for cooking goes back to my earliest memories of baking, serving my daddy and the happiness it brought him and the satisfaction it brought me! At 10 I was baking pies from crust to custard...and cookies from scratch. In 5th grade I made homemade biscuits for a 4H demonstration...I didn't win, but I remember friends in the neighborhood coming over for my biscuits. I have always gravitated to the kitchen. My mentors were great cooks. The sounds and smells of their kitchens still warm my soul. From the kitchens shared in the various parsonages of my youth, to the mud wood burning stoves in the villages of Honduras, to the lovely southern kitchens of my teen years...they all had one thing in common....the gracious nourishing of stomachs and souls. For gracious, lovingly prepared meals nourish far deeper than the physical. Morsels of food meet needs of the heart. To create and partake nourishment creates a connection, a bond.
