Introduction	I will be keeping an on-line journal to keep friends and family updated as I prepare for, and embark on two years of service with the Peace Corps. June, 4th 2012, I will be flying to Ghana, on the west coast of Africa, for 27 months. My primary role will be a science educator, and I will develop other secondary side projects within my community as well. I am looking forward to the next two years as it will most definitely be a learning experience for myself, and I am very happy to sacrifice a period of time in my life to hopefully improve some part of life for others. I hope to return home with a deeper understanding of this crazy, big, and in many ways, disconnected world we live in, and I hope I can share that understanding with my friends and family upon returning home to you all!! :) And of course,the contents of this blog reflect my personal opinions and do not reflect any position of the Peace Corps or United States government.
