Introduction | For two years John has been fostering and leading an initiative to make best corporate development principles available for African development. Early in 2007 his “voice of the customer” survey in four countries revealed huge opportunities to reconfigure the models and methods used to finally make sustainability possible. For sixteen years before, John worked with and for an unusual consulting firm, serving as a partner/director for seven. This firm helped clients rapidly develop the most critical capabilities needed to successfully implement bold strategies, and it left all the pieces in place to maintain the new momentum after the capacity-building project finished. The consultants at PRTM (www.prtm.com ) call their work operational innovation. It drives capabilities for operations (supply chain), technology, product and service developments, and customer service. John mainly focused on the most uncertain parts – making technology management and product development effective in multi-faceted and multi-functional global organizations. John's earlier career included business general management, global strategic management and services to oil exploration in Africa. |
