Introduction	About Us The First Base Agency is a registered charity based in Dumfries. We are Drug, Alcohol and Gambling Information, Advice and Support centre. We first opened in June 2003 and we have seen the demand for our services grow drastically ever since. We lease extensive,centrally located premises in the town and our clients are drawn from across Dumfries and Galloway, although a high percentage come from the town itself. We are open to the public from 12 noon to 4 pm, Monday to Thursday we do however see clients outside of these hours. We took the decision early on to keep our staff levels as low as possible to minimise our funding requirements. Currently our staff comprises of a Support Manager, (Full Time) an Education Manager, (Full Time) a General Assistant, (16 Hours) and one volunteer (5 Hours). We have an enthusiastic and robust Management Committee compromised of individuals with a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience.
