| Introduction | as a young airman in 1975, bound in drugs, crime and violence, and a long list of other things, God spoke to me audibly in the barraks latrine and showed me my sin and the sins of the world. He said, "Be one of my people." I had no Christian influence in my family for three generations that I was aware of. I said yes to Him and he put a fire on my head that went slowly down to my feet. When the heat got to my feet I jumped...it was like jumping out of the darkest grave into a great light. I experience instant freedom from the drugs, alcohol, tobacco, crime, foul language, demonized thought-life and violent life-style. The first Christian God lead me to shared Jn 3:16 and Rom. 10:9-10 with me and explained the gospel. I have been at the same church since then. I went to bible school in this church, met and married my wife here, have three daughters raised here, became a staff pastor in 1981, and have been the sr. pastor since 2000. |
