| Introduction | I created Fight Jam Chicago to promote an interest and understanding of stage combat, explore new ideas and techniques to enliven and approach violence on stage, to maintain and hone hard earned skills and techniques, to have a rockin' good time with friends in the stage combat community. I have been in the stage combat community in Chicago for five years now and have worked with a great number of actors, directors and designers with various theater companies, all amazing, talented and ambitious. Fight Jam is an attempt to hold on to the energy created by the people I have been in contact with and continue to meet, and use that energy to create something for the sake of the art and enjoyment of it. |
