| Introduction | Interdisciplinary research and boundary spanning research are two different things. Boundary spanning is to be the order of the day as specialisations are no more relevant in an interlinked world with exploded knowledge accessible by all everywhere. Instead what is required and even as a solution to the dismembered thinking of today is the merger of diciplines meeaningfully where the juncture of disciplines is more significant and meaningful than mere nuggets of knowledge isolated from the background especially in the Social Sciences. The space between two disciplines is the more significant one in a situation where knowledge is exploded and accessible to everyone. |
