| Introduction | Hi, my name is Heidi. I was diagnosed with grade three triple negative breast cancer 15w pregnant in December 2016, later staged at 3C. I will be a bridesmaid for my sister in late July....when I will be nearing the end of an almost 8 month chemo regiment. I will be her baldie bridesmaid.
I'm not a blogger extraordinaire. I actually tried to do a cooking blog once....and by once, I think there was one blog entry. I guess cancer doesn't discriminate. It didn't care that I just moved to Columbus to start a really cool job 10 months before being diagnosed. Didn't care that I was tested and negative for BRCA gene. Didn't care that I am only 32. Didn't care that I .... mostly .... ate organic food. Or that I have a long list of things I want to do that will require good health (see bucket list). This is the story of how I fought cancer. I can't promise they will all be brave entries. Sometimes, this is pretty scary stuff. But, I hope it will let others better understand breast cancer and maybe help others fighting a similar battle. |
