| Introduction | Hi! My name is Juliet Carnell and there are a few things you ought to know about me. I live in Annapolis, Maryland, USA, very near to where I grew up. In the past I've done most of my traveling in the USA east of the Mississippi River. I've been to the West Coast a few times and I’ve been on two cruses to the Caribbean and one trip to London with my mother. My favorite way to travel is by train. I like flying, but hate airports. I’m a computer software engineer. I’ve worked for NASA and the now defunct Digital Equipment Corporation. Recently I’ve been working for a small company developing self-ordering kiosks for the food industry. You may have seen my work at convenience stores, grocery deli counters, or cafeterias around the country. I've been a vegetarian since 1983. I don’t eat any sort of meat, including fish or poultry. I do eat eggs and dairy products in moderation. I like traveling alone. I find I can be more adventurous when I’m by myself, but sometimes I travel with a companion, most often my mother. I enjoy the different sort of experiences that creates. Another set of eyes will often turn up things I would have missed. |
