| Introduction | Ryan Lile has a passion for travel. Ever since getting laid off from a dot.com and going to Singapore for a week – just because he found a cheap airfare – an unquenchable thirst for travel and adventure has become the trademark of his life. Having traveled extensively throughout the United States and to more than 40 other countries, Ryan has built a formidable knowledge base about airlines, airfares, frequent flier programs, upgrades, and how to use airline rules and policies to maximum benefit. After hundreds of thousands of miles, and with invaluable experience under his belt, Ryan decided to write The Savvy Traveler to share his wealth of travel industry insight beyond his circle of friends.
