| Introduction | I live in central Minnesota on the scenic Sauk River, which is also a scenic view from my family's restaurant. This is my livelyhood and I rarely think of my job as work. I rise and shine each morning to look out at the peaceful river, then walk to the dining room to peer at the restaurant. This has been my home and my routine for the past eleven years. I've always scribbled in my spare time, dreaming of writing for newspapers and magazines about the ironic happenings of my every day life. I'm madly in love with my husband, Dave. We have four children between us between the ages of 16 and 36. My son, Tommy, is the youngest (and the only one living with us). Our getaway is our 38 foot Carver that we travel to in southern Minnesota. This is our summer respite. The St. Croix River is surrounded by bluffs, beach and nature at its' best. |
