| Introduction | Susie Uhlik grew up on a farm north of Schuyler, Nebraska. She has been married to Rev. Charles Uhlik for 10 years. They have three children, Clare, Nathan, and Olivia. Charles is the rector at St. James Episcopal Church in Springfield, Mo. Susie, a former teacher, taught in both public and parochial schools for 14 years. She is currently a stay-at-home-mother. She writes on various topics concerning spiritual growth and is currently writing a book to help mothers deepen and enrich their relationship with God. She is a speaker on various spiritual topics and leads retreat days. A former nun, she studied theology at Creighton University in Nebraska, she worked on her masters in teaching at Webster University, she was director of the Rite of Christian Initiation at St. Wenceslaus in Blair, Nebraska, and gave many talks on discerning vocations. Susie has combined her professional teaching experience, her love of prayer, and has a real passion for helping women, especially mothers and their families, grow spiritually. |
