| Introduction | Welcome!I am Chris,a city cottager. Although I live in the city limits of Raleigh, NC I consider myself a "cottager" because my house is "a small, single-storied house..." (Webster Dictionary) with a large enough yard to make one feel she is in the country. The second definition of cottage is "a small summer house used during vacations." Now I am not always on vacation nor is it always summer in the South! But when I am at home (the cottage) I do feel away from the hustle and noise of everyday living; I feel on vacation! So who am I? I am a "voyager". I have been teacher, principal, painter,plumber, gardener, nurse aide, long distance traveler! I have lived and gardened in CT,NY,IL,CA,GA, and now NC. I have seen every state in the continental USA at least as a "drive through" and did the same in Canada and Mexico. I love to research and collect data. I also enjoy sharing and listening with others. I believe living a "green" life style is important and organic gardening is a partnership with being green. I want to blog because I am passionate about this planet we call home! "Plant for the planet!" |
