| Introduction | Hi. I'm a class full of writers at SFSU posting monologues and scenes, and commenting on each other's work. I have a few rules for comments: - Concentrate on the strengths of a piece. Images that stick with me, aspects of a character that intrigue me, the nature of the dramatic action. - Try not to write another person's play for them. - Don't engage in debates that are about who's comment is the best one. - Saying what's bad is easy, saying what's useful takes a lot more thought. - Brevity is often a good thing. |
