| Introduction | Born in McCurtain,raised an Army brat,finished high school at McCurtain in 1961 as valedictorian. Graduated with Gary Huggins, Leroy Orr, Bobby Oliver, Charolette Self, Mary Kay McLemore, Billie Shobert, et.al. Majored in business at Eastern for 1 year. worked for Corps of Engineers 14 yrs. beginning on Eufaula Dam ending at R.S. Kerr Resident Office which was hdqtrs for all construction on Arkansas from Barling to Catoosa. Married Ernest in 1978, reentered college in 1979. Bachelors and Masters from NEastern, taught until retirement in 2008. Now adult basic ed teacher and induction coach for Stigler Public Schools. There's lots more but it's too much to tell here. |

Right now Byron Berline, Bob Seger, Andrea Bocelli, Eagles, Ray Charles, Michael Martin Murphy, Jim Reeves and Children's Songs for the Road are in my car's CD player or the CD case I carry. Conway Twitty's Hello, Darlin' is my ringtone from my husband. |
| Favorite Books | Probably THE EDUCATION OF LITTLE TREE, but it's impossible to name A favorite. I've been reading voraciously all my life. Loved GONE WITH THE WIND, when I was 12. Right now I am reading Tim TIngle's WALKING THE CHOCTAW ROAD, THE SHACK, Rick Warren's book THE PURPOSE OF CHRISTMAS, and a Sue Grafton murder mystery. |
