| Introduction | By way of introduction I live in central southern France most of the time and my intention is to walk from Le Puy-en-Velay to Santiago starting on 25 August. I say “intention” advisedly as I am under no illusions: almost continuous walking for 70-80 days will not be easy. Nevertheless, I look forward to the pilgrimage, meeting pilgrims and other walkers and enjoying both France and Spain. Previous experience of long distance walking includes trekking in the Himalayas and up Mt Kilimanjaro. |
