| Introduction | Terlingua Ranch is a massive subdivision in West Texas near the Big Bend National Park and the Big Bend Ranch State Park. It is owned by around 5000 different owners. Terlingua Ranch has a property owners association called POATRI that is controlled by nine elected or appointed Directors and a General Manager. They make most of the rules we are ruled by. We do not have any restrictions. POATRI does not have that power over us. That's a big plus because if they did they would use it against us. We pay a yearly assessment. Recently they started charging us other assessments that are not in our agreement. They prevented those who refused to pay from voting. A lawsuit was filed to stop them from doing what they are not allowed to do, it is still pending. |
