Introduction	As a research scholar in Centre for English Studies (School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies) of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi (India), Ved Mitra Shukla (after the completion of his M Phil) is pursuing PhD. He also teaches English literature and language as an Asst. Professor in the Dept. of English of Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. He is currently reading Mahabharat and postcolonial literatures (especially Jhumpa Lahiri’s writings). He has participated and presented his papers in the international and national level seminars/ conferences/ workshops/ refresher course, and also contributed his few papers, book-reviews and features to journals and newspapers . He is associated with a few societies like FORTELL (New Delhi), Gitanjali Multilingual Lit. Circle (U. K.), etc. In addition, he is a student of the Indian music. His flute-recital has been broadcasted by Doordarshan (DD National).
