Introduction	We live in California's Sonoma Valley, about an hour north of San Francisco. We have been in California since 1990, and until 2007 we lived near San Francisco. That year, we moved to Santa Maria, on the Central Coast of California, after Marcia retired from teaching hearing-impaired and severely-handicapped preschoolers. Tom had worked in the railroad industry since 1970, and in 1997 began freelancing as a writer and consultant (his web site is tmrail.com). After moving to Santa Maria we devoted as much time as possible to travel. In 2014 we relocated to Sonoma County. This blog is a vehicle for us to share our experiences with friends, new and old.
