| Interests | I went to public schools and should I be blessed with children, they will go to religious, private schools. This blog is for poor children who need and deserve a great education. As an Americorps member in West Philadelphia in 1994, I witnessed educational malpractice first-hand. I asked then as I ask now, how is it that teachers who don't care about children, stay in the classrooom? Who gets fired when the kids don't learn? For three years after college I researched teacher union political activity but gave up after being demolished by them in a Washington State charter school campaign. After sitting on the side-lines for 12 years, I started to blog this year. Unfortunately, the injustices are the same. The tactics are the same. The mistakes are the same. But we cannot give up on poor children. They can learn. We're just not teaching them. This blog reflects my own views and is written on limited personal time.
