Introduction	The first time I was exposed to the art of calligraphy was at the University of Alabama in the fall of 1994 when I took my first art class. It wasn't until several years later that I would pick up a pen of my own and fall in love with the art form. I taught myself the "Italic Font" of calligraphy.Spending seven years in the elementary classroom, I never lost my love for seeing ink on on paper! In 2004, when my full time job of teaching changed to a full time mother of now three little boys, I decided to begin Calligraphy for You. Today, I work out of my home that I share with my husband, Dolan, and our three boys in Lancaster, PA. I continue to read books about calligraphy to improve my skill and artistic abilities. Besides lettering I enjoy (in no particular order): Being a mother, being a member of the Junior League of Lancaster, assisting at the boy's preschool, teaching preschool parents about kindergarten readiness, writing and blogging, good coffee,listening, my kid's giggles, my husband's kind heart, reading books by talented authors, chocolate, seeing friends, when my kids go to bed at night, Amish markets, Southern food, and peace & quiet.
