| Introduction | I am a mother of three boys, currently staying at home, but intent on finding my “blue flame” (the place where talents intersect with desires). I’ve spent the last seventeen years working in higher education, making me affectionately known to some as Dr. B and to others something far less favorable, I’m sure. I selected highlowaha.com as the name for my blog because of my bias towards reflection and my love for family rituals. Each night at dinner my family members share their high for the day, their low for the day, and something they have learned. No matter how good, bad, or busy each of our days has been this simple reflection immediately brings us together and helps slow the world down – if only for a minute. |
