| Introduction | After two years in business with his father and four years teaching at his former secondary school in Wellington, Alan has spent the rest of his working life in the Christian sector. He has spent twenty-three years as a Baptist pastor, has been a Director/Trustee of some 15 organisations, an adjunct bible college lecturer, a church and para-church consultant, and for the last six years has been the Executive Director of Willow Creek Association in New Zealand.
