| Introduction | FLY! Faith Lutheran Youth: soaring to new heights! Come FLY with us! FLY! is a group of teenagers who are growing in their understanding of themselves, one another, and God. They’re learning to recognize God’s presence everywhere. In 2011 the youth took their first ever all-youth mission trip. The destination was Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. To a student, they described it as, “life changing”. We are now embarking on our 2014 Mission Trip to West Virginia. Youth ages 13 and up are invited to gather every Wednesday evening at 7:15 pm. In 2012, 19 youth attended the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana. In NOLA they joined 37,000 other Lutheran youth and their chaperons from around the United States; ready to grow in their connections to God, to one another, and a deeper understanding of themselves. In 2013 we focused on team building and faith formation that culminated with a Summer Leadership Retreat to Door County, WI that summer. What’s next? Come FLY with us and find out. FLY! weekly gatherings take place throughout the school year, beginning in September. |
