| Introduction | Growing Up Astoria: a community-based web page dedicated to local information, photos, weather, and resources universally relevant to our Astoria Community. Growing Up Astoria was created in 2009 as a group page on facebook with the idea of bringing people who grew up in this multicultural, vibrant, ever-changing neighborhood closer together with stories, pictures, links to local events and information. Since the creation of our facebook group page we have grown to over 5,800 facebook members, and recently added a twitter, LinkedIn and myspace page. Growing Up Astoria has become a labor of love and it brings me great joy to be able to provide you with a forum for sharing your Astoria experiences as well as many local links and info.
