Introduction Zoë Johnstone Stewart has been a professional guitar teacher since the age of sixteen. Her extensive teaching experience includes a faculty position at the renowned Peabody Preparatory, instruction of professional students in masterclasses, public school classroom teaching, and her own thriving private studio. Her talent for connecting with young children inspired her work in early childhood music education, prompting her to obtain her Suzuki guitar and Music Together® teacher training. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, and her Master of Music degree in guitar performance from the highly esteemed Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her teaching, Ms. Johnstone Stewart is an active performer. As a solo artist, she has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada, including appearances in the Trinity Church concert series, The Staten Island Junefest Concert Series, and as a concerto soloist at Alice Tully Hall of Lincoln Center. She is also a member of the Atlantic Guitar Quartet (www.atlanticguitarquartet.com), a chamber group that focuses exclusively on the works of living composers.
