| Introduction | Although I started my career in advertising and graphic design, I eventually found my way into the fine art world. I work in a variety of media, but mostly concentrate in oils. I have a great love for color and am constantly thinking about the balance of light and dark, color, edges and temperature. To me, that is a painting in a "nutshell". My goal is to capture my subject in a way that expresses the energy and emotion of that moment. I like to think I approach painting, much as I do life, with a sense of playfulness. My motto: “With Art, as in life, it is all about the journey...” In addition to my Studio in Apex, NC, you can see my work at Tyler White Gallery in Greensboro NC, Art Source Fine Art in Raleigh NC, Edward Dare in Charleston, SC and the Sandpiper Gallery on Sullivan’s Island SC. My goal is to create something beautiful that others can enjoy. If my paintings bring happiness to them, then I have accomplished my goal. |
