About me

Location Tucson, District 28, Arizona
Introduction Navy veteran and former engineer Dave Ewoldt, co-founder and Executive Director of Tucson non-profit Natural Systems Solutions, is a practitioner and researcher in the fields of ecopsychology and systems science. He is also a founding member of Transition Pima, the first sanctioned transition initiative in the American Southwest desert. Dave speaks regularly at local, national, and international conferences on topics related to global climate destabilization, energy issues and sustainability, and his essays and columns have appeared in academic journals, regional publications, local weekly and daily newspapers, and in Rachel's Democracy & Health News, The Energy Bulletin, Culture Change, and New Earth Rising. Currently, Dave is working with public/private partnerships to implement policy changes that will enable the relocalization of communities — creating the necessary resiliency to survive and thrive in rapidly changing times — by addressing bioregional carrying capacity and steady-state alternatives to economic growth.
