| Introduction | Currently I am a research associate at the Centre for e-Research at King's College London. I'm working on the Sharing Ancient WisdomS (SAWS) project:

My role is to make use of Semantic Web technologies to allow researchers to link together their data and explore relationships between the data. The SAWS project concentrates on Greek and Arabic collections of wise/useful sayings from ancient times, which were passed on through the centuries through copying, retranscribing and translating these collections to create new collections.

I have just submitted my DPhil thesis to the University of Sussex.
I'm interested in ways of modelling creative behaviour in a formal/computerised way. Particularly I am focussing on theories of creativity that are cognitively plausible - 'do things like humans do'. Musical creativity is of especial interest to me. Along the way, I worked on this for my doctorate: How should we evaluate the creativity of a computational system? |
| Interests | Music cognition, creativity, cognitive neuroscience, musical creativity, digital humanities, semantic web, computer music, music performance and analysis, cognitive modelling. |
