| Introduction | I have always been interested in the fine art of culinary coz of my late granpa. My granpa was a VERY good cook sadly my Mom did not inherit any of his culinary skill. I can still remember the taste of dishes that he cooked. The aroma of the dishes would permeate the kitchen when he cooks. The first dish that I learned to cook was Instant Noodle (easy right? Not for a 10 year old kid who have to wait for the kettle to boil, and have to wait longer for the noodles to cook) The next dish I cooked is Nasi Goreng which was taught and supervised by my Aunt. This was in the days when the is no ready made, store bought ikan bilis seasoning and no food processor. I had to pound all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle. (Picture this - a 10 year old sitting on the floor pounding away and the mess he made and what a mess it was!!!) This blog is created for family and friends with whom I had been sharing recipes. |
