IntroductionI will turn 42 years old on June 16, 2012. This is mainly my story here, and an occasional rant, and also a few stories about my most precious cats. In Nov. 2007, I lost both my kidneys to Polycystic Kidney Disease. I knew that would happen. I just didn't know when. And I was on dialysis from April 2007 to August 2010. Finally got a transplant, from a living donor, on Sep. 1, 2010. Dialysis was a real pain at times--not being able to work inside the home the way I used to, not being able to work outside the home at all, nothing to do, almost no one to see (most of the time). DAMN, I wish I was someone else sometimes!! So as I said, dialysis was a real pain, and you know...it really got old after awhile, so after three years of this...you tell me. I encourage you to comment! If, heaven forbid, anything happens to my new kidney, I will again be looking for a new donor. Please email me for details. I see I've taken up too many damn characters already. Keep reading, and you'll learn more about me. Thanks a million!
InterestsWeb surfing, music, quality time with cats, getting a transplant (can I put that down as an interest?)
Favorite moviesGroundhog Day, The Coneheads, The Odd Couple, Love Actually, Taken, Mondo Hollywood, Sherlock Holmes...Oh yes, and Mondo Hollywood (I know I repeated that...did that for a reason...it's my #1 favorite, for sure!!)
Favorite musicDoo-Wop, Bobby Jameson, Chelsea Conrad, Robert Conrad, Nico (whom--I discovered roughly three years ago--had my dream voice!)...oh, and did I mention Bobby Jameson?? (I did, but I repeated him for a reason...he's my absolute favorite!!) By the way, EVERYTHING sounds better when Dick Biondi plays it!!
Favorite booksAnything that's well-written and inspires me to think. I tend to prefer online reading, like blogs...but the one book I like is "Making Miracles." Haven't finished it yet, but plan to.
