Introduction Keegan Smith is a recent BScH graduate and researcher, amateur journalist, and short fiction writer. His published work includes contributions to The Argosy newspaper, co-authorship on a paper published in the biology journal Freshwater Science, and his Honours thesis. A lot of his work is unpublished, including a variety of technical notes, and several pieces of fiction that he’s frantically polishing. An explorer born, most of his hobbies centre around his need to see over the next hill; hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, and running have all been great ways to get him moving. Keegan currently lives with his roommates in Sackville, New Brunswick.

Favorite Movies "Alien" is one of the all-time favourites. John Carpenter's "The Thing". "Star Wars", obviously. I can get into just about anything, really.
Favorite Music Broad musical tastes. I really love listening to the musical progression from old-time blues to early rock n' roll, into classic rock and metal. It's beautiful to hear the inspiration (i.e. artists stealing from, or rather, "paying tribute to" earlier artists) in the music. The desert rock scene has kind of captivated me lately.
Favorite Books Let's actually go for authors. As with films and music, my tastes tend to be pretty broad... anything by Tolkien, Asimov, Clarke, Hemingway, Lovecraft, RA Salvatore, Stephen King, GRR Martin.
