| Introduction | I am retired now after 40 years with the NHS helping with trauma and orthopaedic surgery. I have had hearing difficulties most of my adult life and after a sudden down turn in 2014 my profound deafness was eligable for a cochlear implant. Done in the summer of 2015 I am now enjoying life without the handicap my deafness gave me. I am still technically deaf but can now lead a near normal life with just a few disadvantages still lingering. |
