Introduction It all started at Kheto and Giyani News during his high school years. Wining the Steve Biko Media Week competition, with Rhodes University (2003)was a stepping stone to the media world. His 1st years at Rhodes were punctuated by volunteer work on both Radio Grahamstown (DJ) and Activate (Sports Reporter). The move to Rhodes Music Radio (RMR) in 2006, coupled with internships with The Herald, Groccots's Mail, Community Media for Development (CMFD/Peoduction) and Green Door pictures prepared way for him. Helping out during Highway Africa, Grahamstown National Arts Festival and the International Society of Quality of Life conferences granted him with networking opportunities. His leadership skills blossomed when he was appointed one of Jan Smuts House Sub Wardens in 2007. DJ Sweets Leggere, as known to his friends, was nominated for an SABC AWARD in 2007. After graduating with a BA degree in Journalism & Media Studies with Rhodes University he then completed an internship with the SABC News in 2008 before his stints at CMFD/Productions and Cut 2 Black Media. Leggere now work as a TV Researcher/ Coordinator for Kagiso TV & Communications in Parktown.
