| Introduction | I’m a 31 year-old mother of 2 smart, beautiful and funny girls who will be 11 and 8 this year. I married my high school love, whose passion for hunting stocks my freezer full of wild game. The major influences in my food loving life, would be my mom for letting me pull up a stool and watch in amazement while she cooks. In hopes (I am still hoping) that one day I will be as good as she is. Second, my certified nutritionist sister Kelly who has planted the seed of healthy eating and healthy fats in my brain to which now I am a proud label reader! My sister Christine whose Pico de Gallo recipe started a love for cilantro,my sister Julie who bought me my first and only chef knife, which I love OH so much!! My mother-in-law Brenda who encouraged this food blog, which I'm thankful everyday for those who read it and leave me kind notes! Last but certainly not least, my bestest friend Nichole who will come over and let me cook for her. She is the honest food critic friend I need in my life! All of whom has led me to my mission to not only cook but to cook from scratch! |
