| Interests | Wm. R. "Will" Covert was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan in late 1944. As the child of a career Navy man Will lived in various locations including Northern California, Panama, Kentucky, Bermuda, Michigan finally settling in Southern California in 1955. He graduated from Clairemont High School in San Diego in 1962(made famous as Ridgemont High School in the 70's cult classic "Fast Times At Ridgemont High"). Following high school and a brief stint at San Diego State University, Will enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves immediately deploy on active duty in 1963. Duty stations included U.S.S. Nereus as a Machine Accountant 3rd class (a rating which no longer exists). He attended the Naval Academy Prep School in Bainbridge, Maryland but elected not to complete the course of study. After receiving a BS degree from California Polytechnic University, Pomona and teaching for a couple of semesters, Will entered the real estate industry as an instructor and shortly there after became a licensed real estate broker. Following a career of almost 30 years Will took an early retirement to pursue his avocation as a full time Peace Activist and lifetime member of Veterans For Peace. |
