IntroductionI earned my PhD in philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania and my BA in philosophy and religion from Columbia University. After a brief brush with running for political office, I taught in a number of institutions, mostly Catholic, including the Catholic University of America, the University of St. Thomas (Houston), Guilford Technical Community College, and a seminary that had once declined to admit me as a student. My conventional publications have appeared in The Thomist, First Things, National Review, and Christifideles.
