| Introduction | I am single-mom-by-choice to daughters Fiona and Carys. I started this blog as a way to share fun snippets of our lives with family and friends. Little did I know that it would become a vehicle for sharing my life's biggest challenges, and gaining support from an incredible community of real-life and online friends. At 13 months old, Fiona developed life-threatening hemolytic uremic syndrome as a result of an E. coli infection. Exactly one year later, newborn Carys was diagnosed with permanent hearing loss. Follow that up with ongoing medical issues, a flood, job loss, and a cross-country move. Our family's ride has been a wild one so far!
