| Introduction | Wrote a chapter in new big book High Voltage: AC/DC an Illustrated Guide. Included in The Best Australian Poems 2009 aND 2010. Jen’s essay Sex Crimes in Suburbia was included in Meanjin's ‘Law and Crime - the Long Arm’ issue (October 2007). A widely-published, versatile professional writer, she wrote Skyhooks Million Dollar Riff, poetry books Marsupial Wrestling, Alleycat and gutter Vs stars (Flat Chat 2006). | Interests | Winner of the June Shenfield Poetry Prize 2010, Greater Dandenong Writing Awards Open Poetry Prize 2006, Spinning Room (Melbourne) best female performer of 2005, Victorian Writers' Centre Poetry Cup best performer 2004, she co-edited Shelton Lea's 'Nebucadnezzar' with Gig Ryan. Her work has been anthologised in Moving Galleries (on Melbourne trains), Divan, Mother I'm Rooted, Salt-Lick, Meanjin, Cordite, Stylus, Going Down Swinging and printed in The Age. Currently working on a bastardised memoir and other secret projects. She's freelanced as a journalist since 1971, on staff at Planet, Digger, Rolling Stone, Nation Review, RAM and Mediaweek. Oh yeah, and she did A&R at Mushroom Records & Publishing amongst other music biz stuff.. In previous lifetimes known as Jenny Brown, Jenny Hunter Brown, Quito Ray and Emily Teechen.
