| Introduction | Steven Zien’s Living Resources Company (www.organiclandscape.com) has been providing organic solutions and horticultural services to residents of the greater Sacramento area since 1977. Best known as Sacramento’s Organic Advocate, Steve is a frequent guest on local garden radio shows and promotes organic methods in landscapes and gardens. He wrote an organic garden column in the Sacramento Bee for 20 years, served for 10 years as the Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the California State Fair and has taught courses on organic horticulture at American River College and University of California, Davis. His environmental leadership has been recognized locally and statewide with numerous awards including Sacramento County’s “Pollution Prevention Award” and California Dept. of Pesticide Regulation’s “IPM Innovator Award.” |
