About me

Introduction	We are an organized group of union workers at One Million Degrees seeking our first contract. We believe in OMD’s mission and in our important work of supporting scholars in school, work, and life. We have formed our union to strengthen our organization’s core values of scholar focus, accountability, and motivating and empowering others. By recognizing our union and bargaining in good faith, OMD will uphold its mission by respecting and listening to the people who know scholars best—the workers who directly impact scholar experience. All of us hope our scholars will go on to work for employers who recognize their value, and by recognizing our union OMD would do the same for its own workers. We are immensely proud of the work we do and our place in this cause, but we believe that OMD must work harder for its employees--the values we hold for our scholars should be better reflected in the culture of our workplace.
