| Introduction | When I was 16 years old, I broke my foot playing rugby. Due to a spinal cord injury and complicating factors I lost my leg below the knee 7 years later. 2010 Cycling Highlights: 2010 National Champion - British National Disability Circuit Race Series 2010 Grand Prix of Wales Track Championships 1st place – Kilo 2nd place – Pursuit 3rd place – Team Sprint 2010 Kent Paracycling Eurotunnel International Championships 2nd Place – Time Trial 3rd Place – Road Race 2010 UCI World Paracycling Championships 12th place – Time Trial 18th place – Road Race 2010 UCI World Cup Race (Segovia, Spain) 9th Place – Time Trial 12th Place – Road Race Now nearly 40 years old, I have taken up cycling and as a member of the Irish National Paralympic Cycling Team, am working my way towards qualification to participate in the London 2012 Paralympics. |
