| Introduction | I was born in Missori, but I grew up all over the place, any which way, and without much supervision or attention. My mom was definitely bi-polar and most probably alchoholic. At the tender age of 18, I met my ex-husband, an Iranian. He said,"Someday I'm going to Iran to take care of my parents in their old age." I liked that. It sounded responsible and loving. I said, "Okay." We lived in Chicago for about 6 years and for 13 in Karaj, outside of Tehran. I learned Farsi and I cook a mean Ab-Gusht. I raised my two sons. I taught English for 12 years. I played basketball on a women's team for 11 years. It was very hard at times, but overall I had a blast. I left a lot of love behind in Iran. Now I'm back in the States, I've come full circle. My ex stayed in Iran. My sons and I actually had to leave with out telling anyone. We started over with nothing 4 years ago. Now I have a small house, My oldest is in college and my youngest is a Senior in High School. My youngest has Asberger's Syndrome, except none of us knew until 4 years ago when we came back to the States. His journey in Iran was also hard. The things we went through, the two of us! |

What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?
If you ask my Asbergian son, he will tell you duct tape and give you a 30 minute unsolicited lecture on the beauty and intricacies of duct tape. I've seen what he can do and it's amazing. Now I have to figure out how to translate that into a real life skill. Who pays for duct tape proficency?
