| Occupation | Field Biologist |
| Location | Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia |
| Introduction | I originate from Tottenham in north London, but have worked as a field biologist on the South Pacific islands of French Polynesia since 1995, and am resident on Tahiti since 2003. My principal activity away from work is the creation of works of fiction which I publish somewhat hopefully on Lulu.com. |
| Interests | Literature, music, art, philosophy, evolutionary biology and genetics, anthropology. |
| Favorite movies | Although literature is my preferred medium and I am not a cinema fanatic, I believe that the very best films are true works of art: early Disney (Snow White et al), Kurosawa (Seven Samurai, Dersu Uzala), Kubrick (most but Dr Strangelove above all), Mike Leigh (all), and certain works by Lumet, Ford Coppola, Polanski (The Pianist) and others. |
| Favorite music | I was brought up in an urban environment with ska, rocksteady, R&B, soul and reggae. |
| Favorite books | Too many to mention but pride of place goes to Anna Karenina, Brothers Karamazov, Moby Dick, Lolita, the Origin of Species and many other well-known and more obscure. |
