Occupation | Ex Ambulance Man |
Location | United Kingdom |
Introduction | Welcome to my Blog. I'm Eddie, a retired, eccentric ex-ambulance man, who loves making people laugh and happy. I have some great bloggy pals. I drive a bus for our local Dial-a-Ride service and really enjoy looking after passengers and brightening their day. I am a widower, and finding my feet after losing my dear wife of 40 years. Maria suffered breast cancer for 16 years and, sadly, I lost her in April 2013. I have a beautiful married daughter (32) and a wonderful son (22), soon to be married; he has a delightful baby son (11 months). Peter is a real cutie-Pie; he has big blue eyes and can melt any lady's heart - just like his Grandpa. Although retired I feel nothing like my age. Apart from a great new hip, all my original equipment is working very well, although I do have the odd creak now and then. I am writing up my ambulance and career experiences and offer a little poetry plus creative writing here and there, sometimes humorous, sometimes sad. I have donated 102 units of blood and encourage new donors in this life saving venture. I have a very keen sense of humour . . . and ladies, I'm quite a catch and will be snapped up quickly, so no delays, email me, pronto! |
Interests | Classical Music, Family Tree Research, Crosswords (no dummy not with the wife), Meeting People, Anything to do with Time Travel, Reading, Christian life, Ambulance duties, DIY (included by command of 'she who must be obeyed'), Blogging, Making people Laugh, Making people Cry sometimes, Stanley Holloway monologues, I can murder the piano and dogs join in when I sing, Armchair sportsman - it's much easier, Oh yes and I actually sell double glazing as well (bit nicely)- hope you still like me!, After that little lot sleeping |
Favorite Movies | Brief Encounter, Somewhere in Time, Lots of others I have failed to remember but play the DVD to me to jog my memory and I will probably say, "Fabulous". |
Favorite Music | Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelsohn, Bach, Jazz, Blues, Scott Joplin, Good Popular Music but it has to be good, The world was cheated when Mozart died so young. Just imagine what he would have produced if he had lived to 60 instead of 35, Gilbert and Sullivan is a must. |
Favorite Books | The Bible, books on the Bible - particularly on Prophecy, God's plan for humanity, Science Fiction, Harry Potter |
How tall would you be if you had never cut your fingernails?
Exactly the same height as I am now, dummy! Mr Blogger just cannot be a candidate for Mensa! My hands usually live at thigh level. Crumbs, who thinks of these daft questions?
