| Introduction | When I moved to Nashville, August 2003, it was the first time I'd lived more than 55 miles from Manhattan, including college. So I'm basically a displaced New Yorker living in the South. The barbecue is good, but not the Chinese food. I've got an MFA in fiction writing, but since I started teaching have not had a lot of time to finish the revisions on my novel. I write the occasional poem, and sometimes an essay -- enough essays that they've been collected in a chapbook which may still be available from SRM, Publisher. |
