| Introduction | Welcome to All Things Loomage - a friendly blog about bead looming and business. I am a UK bead looming artist based in the English Lake District. I learned the art of weaving glass seed beads thirty years ago when my sister brought home a wooden bead loom from the Riverside Craft Centre in Kendal. We shared that one loom for a while, then my Mum bought me one of my own. I now own quite a few different looms! Along with the Cumbrian fells and lakes, my work is inspired by the Windermere steamers, vintage railway posters, and famous landmarks of the North West. I create in my studio overlooking the charming village of Bowness on Windermere. I love music, nature, seagulls, owls, the Moon and all things nautical. |
