| Introduction | I’ve been having a love affair with condiments for as long as I can remember. Savory, sweet, tart, hot, and spicy (sometimes all in one) dollops that add a spark of intense flavor to whatever you’re eating are among the unsung stars of the food world. Really, you can never have too many. I do make the occasional condiment from scratch, but I’m no recipe developer. Mostly, I chase after great finds from everyday supermarkets, farmer’s markets, specialty shops, and catalogs. But from time to time, I will also share recipes from favorite restaurants or generous friends. Eggs, pasta, couscous, rice, bread, crackers, cheese, fish, cold cuts, sausages, leftovers, roasted, barbecued or boiled meats, vegetables roasted or steamed—just about any bland or not-so-bland food you can think of gets a little sassy when paired with a favorite condiment. When not dipping a spoon into a jar of jam, I’m a freelance copywriter, food and travel writer. Hence, tasty adventures are always on the agenda. Thanks for visiting. |
