| Introduction | I always thought I was a super hero. After all, I teach, that's my superpower. Then it all changes. I became the mother of a superhero. My daughter was diagnosed at age 14 with Type 1 diabetes. She has embraced her disease with courage and takes extremely good care of herself. She truly is a superhero and she is MY hero. I started this blog, even though I feel as though I can't write, because I wanted a place to capture our lives. It's been over 1.5 years since J was diagnosed and I sometimes just need a place to let it all out. I feel like my family gets tired of what seems to be an obession of mine but I just sometimes need to talk things out. |
